When relocating the message to the subject we run into the complication of length -- we can crop it to insure it's short enough to fit in the subject length, but this presents an additional problem of HTML being cut in the middle of a tag.

Leaving this possibility would be careless and sloppy, so we can't do that. Limiting this option to forums without HTML in the Subject would be too extreme. So this will probably have to wait a bit until we can provide special parsing of messages -- this is planned to handle many features: tag processing (to check for unclosed tags, script in HTML, etc.), word/profanity filters, and anything else we can think of. B)

We need to account for everything possible with each addition (you can see how some options can get pretty complicated internally). The configurability we provide to forum owners is very demanding to us and our programs. B) I hope we can get this feature in, though.

How would you propose we handle forums with HTML in messages, but not in subjects?

Ttyl.

Sincerely,

Brandon
