VoyForums Announcement: Programming and providing support for this service has been a labor of love since 1997. We are one of the few services online who values our users' privacy, and have never sold your information. We have even fought hard to defend your privacy in legal cases; however, we've done it with almost no financial support -- paying out of pocket to continue providing the service. Thanks for the message, Gary. We hope you guys find the flexibility and power of VoyForums not just useful, but also a model -- we feel tools are available to all of us, yet in many areas people are limited in their freedom to use them; therefore, in the projects we make, we try to create, be innovative, and eventually leave choices up to the user in a way they can feel safe.

Granted, it's very trying to handle this all; we're limited in means; however, we're currently trying to set up some sections where users can better interact with us and each other, where people can cooperate to support this free service (and others, like Voycabulary.com). For years we have been paying out of our own pockets to keep these going, and it's been more than tough.

On a different note, we came from the days of local BBS's, "before the Internet", where people were able to be more like family and friends, and I think a crucial point was the live interaction. The disjointedness of current online "communities" is a barrier in the way of closeness -- we feel that our future plans as well as current methods, although currently limited in various resources, are an important approach to advancing online society. We're at an age where we can communicate in an instant around the world, yet where is the cooperation and union? Where is the feeling of family and loyalty? We want our users to feel like they belong here, we them to be able to be a part of this progression in these exciting [but stressful] times -- and we hope you all support us in our endeavor.

Sincerely,

Brandon
