Subject: Backup Error Message

I have tried to backup "My Computer" three times this week and each time get an Error Message that says: This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
The folder that it get stuck at is
C:\\... \\8VOBEXIX\\ckquiz120.gif

What's the problem? Windows 98 with Internet Outlook 5.0 on an ASE Technologies PC. Thanks to anyone that can help.
