\ a burning in my blood /

/ Firey steed slid to a dead halt, heart skipping several beats, fighting to stop. Auds pricked forward at a dangerously sharp angle, nares flared frantically, breath coming in short, harsh gasps. He could not believe his eyes. There she was. Oh glory! How long has it been? The stallion fought to hold his silence but found himself unable to. A wildly joyful bugle escaped his lips, rising in pitch almost to a squeal so great was his euphoria. Fiercely loyal was he, for since that one day so long ago he had forsaken all others, continuing on his heartbreaking quest for this one mare. Did she even remember him? Oh, how he remembered her! Heart pounding a fearful tattoo against his proud chest, the bay started towards the lady, brought to the ends of his restraint so great was his wish to charge madly to her side instead of keeping to this respectful walk. Orbs brimming with emotion so powerful it had no name, the steed paused a short distance away. She was with another stallion. Though normally not a rude beast, the other's presence meant nothing to him at the moment for he had found the object of his long search. Another call was emitted from his velvet muzzle, softer this time yet containing no less feeling. His rich voice begged the mare to rejoice with him. No words were needed. His search had ended... \

/ stance \\ 15 hands /

/ stain \\ A rich, vibrant rusty bay pelt that glows as if aflame in the sunlight. Jet black tresses are not unusually long but are thick and glossy with fine health. A small star is his only white adornment. /

/ frame \\ Light boned and built for sped. He is under no circumstances to be considered a stocky or brawny horse but he is toned and fit, exhibiting an easy grace and catty movement. /

/ persona \\ Afire is a lover, not a fighter. He is a hopeless romantic and deep thinker, delighting in the company of friends and family. Honest and sincere, his big golden heart is probably his most endearing quality. Afire has a soft spot for foals and enjoys a good romp through the fields as much as any little one. Though just a big kid at heart, he is capable of great seriousness when the occasion calls. One might call Afire a velvet covered brick, for while he comes across as a big softie he is not all fluff. A horse of great conviction, he is tenacious and stubborn, radiating confidence even in difficult situations. Afire is fiercely defensive of those close to him. Though naturally long fused, he will never put up with anyone messing with his loved ones. /
