Subject: Someone tell me to shut up

Hehe this chat page is rather amusing although what's even more amusing is the amount of times the word "Bored" is mentioned... seeing as im at uni at the moment i might as well write an essay on being bored.

ESSAY ON BEING BORED
This essay is about being bored, and im writing it because boredom doesn't really exist, and all it shows is a lack of imagination in a situation. For example i could be sitting here right now saying "im bored, im bored, i dont have anything to do" but no - in fact i've found something to do and this is write an essay on being bored.

What is boredom? - well boredom is a state of mind, where you are lured into the false pretence that there is nothing in the world worth doing that you will enjoy. Of course this is not true as we all know that there are heaps of things to do with spare time, like go for a run or give someone a ring or eat chocolate. Although some of these things are not always possible anyone should be able to improvise something to do depending on the situation.

Why do we get bored, simply because our way of thinking has been so degraded over the years that all that really matters any more is "Sex Drugs and Rock'n'Roll" to use an old 70's quote, basically all we ever think about is relationships, who's going do drink/smoke the most, and that cool new song by . And of course with this being the basis of most thinking people have every reason to get bored as they dont know any better.

Is there any cure for boredom? - well I know of one really good one and that is "A CHANGE IN ATTITUDE" - attitude is how we react to the things that life puts across our path, being either fun and exiting or dull and uninteresting, if we choose to change our concept of what dull and uninteresting is, we will find that boredom is less of a problem. Basically, in English that means "step outside the square you live in" try to see things differently and then maybe just maybe you'll act differently and not be bored.

Of course friends are a good way to relieve boredom, as im sure we'll all agree, it's a lot less boring to be in a bunch of bored people than by yourself. Although if we rely too much on the prescence of others to make us happy, we'll find that when others aren't around that boredom is more of a problem. To solve this, sometimes you have to take a really hard look at yourself and ask "Who am I" and "What can I do" - and write down the answers to these things, a wise person once told me "A problem is never as big, if you write it down on paper" this is true for boredom as well, if you write down all the things you could be doing instead of being bored, im sure you'll be surprised at how unboring your life will be.

Boredom is just ignorance of the things which could be done.

-------------------- THE END ----------------------------

P.S. By now you're probably bored out of your brains :P
HAHAHA
