Well "music lover"...thanks for the crit. It's well received. It's true that you shouldn't judge us by the Hollywoods gig. It was an ill prepared sham and we payed £70 for Fat Pig Man and Gypsy on PA.

I write the lyrics and they're not all depressing. One is about cunts in the scene. V. topical. I tend to lean towards the Smashing Pumpkins/Eels/At The Drive-In style of odd lyrics. They do actually mean a lot though...it's not just random bullshit. Rather, incredibly well formed bullshit. Na, it's all got a meaning. The titles are arse though. I'm working on them. Never sound right though.

Our next gig is on March 15th at Beachy. We may be headlining according to Solid website so it shows how we've improved.

I'll tell ya why we make loads of enemies....cuz of me! But I don't give a flyin fuck. I speaketh only the truth. L2Y ARE a better match for Hundred Reasons than the ST's. In the same way as STs are better suited to Skindred than we are. Sorry, but I find it complete bullshit the way Solid choose one random band and give them every big support slot. They do it for no reason at all other than a load of impressionable little kids like em. They did it with The Void for indie gigs and ST's are now getting all the alternative perks. Why? No reason. Rap metal is another shit bandwagon and, even though it's still popular among the "cool crowd", there's no reason why it should be given preference over any other style of music.
Anyways....enough. Practice tonight. Let's get this shit tight as fuck. Like Lee's mam.

Practice was good. We need to concentrate on actually working through the songs. Once through isn't enough. So if GARY GET'S BORED OR NOT we still gotta work on all songs at least twice through. We gotta get tight with our set. It's OK having good songs at practice but we need to produce the goods live. Otherwise we'll end up like Kittie with a crap lazy live act. Anyways.....bowling is sounding nice methinks. It's a shame that the pop/punk bands pulled out of the gig on 16th Feb. We now play 2nd Feb instead. Does Nat have any more info on the 16th gig and why it was cancelled??????? Everyone should at the 14th Feb gig at the Spiders. We play with One Piece Jigsaw (not one car pile up), Untold (not trade off) and YETER PANG (not very good... only kidding Nat. Be there to hear us croon love songs and to slow dance with fat martin.

And it's not just that the new Blink album is shit...It's that Blink are shit overall. And just because someone or some band gets media attention it doesn't mean they sold out. Selling out is when you don't love the music and are just doing it for fame/money/glory be it on a small or large scale. As long as bands like At The Drive-In remain grounded about who they are and their music then they'll never sell out....even if they sell multi-platinum records or go to number one with everything they do. No-one said the Beatles were selling out and they've had shit loads of number ones. No band is gonna say "I don't wanna make records cuz I don't want lots of fans"....apart from Type O Negative. The only people like that are shit street punk bands who insist that they are "keeping it real" when really they're just shite and can't make it in the music biz......I RULE!!!!
