It'll take some time to investigate the problem with multiversion .DCU compiling. I'm not sure (and I'l check later this evening...), but different versions of Delphi are compiling in different way their units (it's something in the internal structure of the .DCU files). I reached this thoughts when tryed to compile your Delphi4 .dcu with Delphi5 (dont smile to me at all :) , I must try everything). And so... I'm afraid that, if we can't find a way to accomplish multi-version compiling, you must install 7 different versions of Delphi on your pc (if you haven't already done this :). But I think there is more easy way to keep your source private (if this is the final purpose) - why dont you use runtime package, or other thing, why not to use external .dll? It wouldn't be such a loss, isn't it?
