Subject: Overwriting Files...

I don't understand what's so good about overwriting files. What's the good? What if you want the original breed back but you still want to keep the overwriting file? Once I got a wolf file that overwrote the Russian Blue file and kept me from using it. The Wolf was still a Dogz, but I couldn't own Russian Blues, and I was real upset. I really wanted the wolf, but really wanted the Russian Blue file because I had adopted a Russian Blue from a site. I solved that problem and was able to keep the Russian, but couldn't keep the wolf file, which I wanted because I just love wolves. I eventually found this site and the Harlequin wolf, but I still wanted that other wolf file except for the fact that it overwrote (more like DELETED) a CATZ file. So what's the use of overwriting files? Why would people REQUEST an overwriting file? It just doesn't make any sense to me at all...

It's easier to use an overwriting file, espically because a lot of people still use petz 3 (including myself). That way either game can use a .pet file that looks like something else. Instead having to look for a breed file that works, or converting a breedfile (which I've tried, still haven't been able to figure it out).
