Having read previous comments about MT's variability in quality of recorded / performed guitar-playing I would have to agree proportionately with all the views expressed.

Like Clapton in his early 20's, Mick Taylor played at his creative best as a younger man.

His 'oevre' with Mayall throughout the late 1960's exhibited a natural, progressive development of guitar style. Listen to the brilliant 'Driving Sideways' on the Crusade album -- stunning(and MUSICAL)phrasing thoughout.

Sadly, I saw him 'live' in Cardiff a few years ago and he was merely mediocre. Every dog . . . . . .
