Subject: OT Friday's Painting - 17th May

Well if it's possible for an artist to progress backwards then that is what I did today - Nothing seemed to work for me - the clouds are Blah, the lighthouse is too small, the beam is too heavy handed and the waves WERE perfect until I just had to over fiddle and lose most of the shadows and movement in the water.

However I did have fun so even though I'm not happy with the results I am thrilled with the process :):)

Thanks for looking
Sue.

Sue, you might think it didn't come out right but I have to tell you I love it. The sea looks angry which I love... I am sorry I can't find anything wrong with it... Sorry it gave you so much trouble... Thank you so much for sharing. Have a great weekend. Hugs Pat

I have watched your progress over the last year and love all that you have shared with us. And I echo Pat's sentiments: I love what you did with the sea. A gf of mine has talked me into taking a beginners painting class. I have minimal talent with regards to this craft. If I am able to do a fraction of what you have accomplished I will feel positively blessed. TFS!

Sue, don't under estimate yourself, that sea is great, I love the way you painted the clouds and waves.
Hugs,
Susan.

I really have to agree with Sue there, don't be so harsh on yourself. I love the blues (can you tell my fav colour is blue!) and there is so much motion in the earth and sky, beautiful!
Even the way the lighthouse beam is going through the clouds is impressive.
I must say I am enjoying the picture as much as you were thrilled with the process!

Hugs,
Doreen
