*Sahara watches her father leave and her head lowers down, eyes gazing at the ground below. She sniffs a little. First her sister was gone and now her dad. She hoped he wouldn't go off and get himself killed too.
Savannah sighs softly when her mate pads away and nuzzles Aquarian's head. After that little episode, she never wanted to leave her children alone again. With Washu and the humans...life was hectic*
"I don't know, Aquarian. Things have been getting a little harder with the humans and i think your dad just needs a little...alone time to think things over."
*She says, trying to make her words clear enough for the younger minds to understand. She didn't want them worrying about Kobe too much. To her, that seemed like uneeded stress for the family.
Sevier cocks his head, repeating the words over in his head, trying to understand.
Sahara looks over, worried*
"Daddy's comin' back, right?"
*Savannah smiles weakly and nods*
"He wouldn't abandon us, dear, of course he'll be back."

*Aquarian whimpers softly and cuddles up close to his mother, not daring to look at his dead sister. But tears roll down his cheeks. He wished that she would have been more cautious. He throws back his little head and yip howls sadly
Off in a clump of trees Kobe lays, letting the tears flow. Even in his own territory his family isn't safe. He feels his sister's power fade away and he thinks of his father...A soft breeze blows and the alpha male feels a bit better. His father was watching him and trying to soothe his fears.*

*Sahara sniffles and salty tears stream down the youth's face. She was crying for both Kitaloni and her fear that Washu might come back.
The alpha female licks her son's head. She wanted to say something that would make everything ok. That would make her daughter's death less painful, but nothing came to mind. Instead, she struggles to keep her tears from overflowing and keeps an eye out for her 3 remaining children.
The young male watches his family sadly and throws back his tiny head also, yip howling along with his brother.*

*A wind russles the fur of the lifeless pup and slowly she disappears until only the blood of her young body is left upon the ground. A wind whistles into Savannah's ears, whispering soft, comforting words to the female.*

*She snaps her head around in the other direction, but finds no one there. She looks back the other way to find her daughter's body gone and Sevier and Sahara looking confused. Her stance relaxes a little, and she even smiles. The voice had sounded so kind, she trusted it.*
