He followed Kahlua's tracks, finally seeing her in the distance. He let out a joyful yelp, glad for the reunion. He ran foreward, howling with his joy.

When he reached Kahlua, he looked at the pup. A male! He would train him well, and someday he might become the alpha of the pack.

Jaltobe reached down and gave the pup a shy lick on the cheek, letting him know he was his father. Then, turning to Kahlua, he said, "The humans have left...it is safe now. We must hurry to get back to the rest of the pack...they have scattered and need guidance." He sighed, looking at Kahlua. "We have become such a large pack, and we are not as close anymore. This summer, when the pup has grown enough, we will take a week or so and travel. Hopefully, this will unite the pack under my lead so that when we hunt we will work as one, and so that there will not be as many cliches. I want to allow for the wolves personality's to show through, but I would like for us to work together well." He looked down at the pup and gave him a loving glance, then waited for Kahlua's reply.
