Distant Echo heard Guardian's howl, and echoed it with her own. She melted her voice into harmony with his, and they both sang of the death of a friend. She had not experienced death since...no, she couldn't think of it. But the sorrow of remembering the other death mixed into her song.

She stood slowly, her leg was now fully healed. Walking a bit stiffly, she heading towards Sorrow's body to say farewell.

She reached Sorrow and howled into the night sky, trying to echo in her song the story of his life. She had not known him much, but she had seen the sadness.

She nuzzled Guardian as a friend, trying to comfort him. Or perhaps she was trying to comfort herself?
