-Despite the girl�s common fashion of exchanging little talk and keeping to herself, she was beginning to feel a bit lonesome. The melodic howl had instinctively forced itself out of her chest before she could catch herself. It was a habit she had picked up when she was a child. When she was a pup, her uncle Frith, a lonesome and troubled wolf, would always howl upon his arrival at anywhere. It was a calling -- something to tell people that he was there, to tell them that he was there and that he was ready to confer and be a part of socializing. Of course, the next day he was driven out of the pack for reasons Anneliese did not know and would never know. She hurriedly shrunk back into the shrubbyer-
