Subject: Vote-stealing operations... :-)

...there really isn't much evidence that Diebold's machines are rigged. Of course, the lack of evidence is due to the source code being concealed from everyone outside Diebold, the US government included, because corporate intellectual property rights are considered more important than citizen oversight of procedures...

Anyway, I finished the program - it has 82 code lines plus 9 times the number of candidates. It doesn't produce paper trail, but it doesn't have to. If the code is published a few weeks in advance, and if the code is only compiled and executed on Election Day morning just before precincts open, then everyone can be sure that they're voting using a non-rigged code and that their vote counts properly even without paper trail, which a rigged code can handle differently so that the trail is what you voted for but the recorded vote is a little different.

Basically, at the beginning of Election Day, three different people - presumably a Democrat, a Republican, and an Independent - need to enter passwords, and only with the 3 passwords together can you enable a person to vote or, at the end of Election Day, check vote totals.

I can't copy and paste code from QBasic to outside the program, so I uploaded 2 zip files to 50megs:
http://leftist.i8.com/qbasic.zip
http://leftist.i8.com/qbasic2.zip
Unzip both to the same folder, open Qbi.exe, and open voting.bas from inside QBasic.
