Her nerves were already on edge - lack of sleep, and the surprising amount of pain she was in adding to the stress that accompanied her mother - but she was doing a reasonnable job of remaining outwardly calm. Dragging her mom's suitcase along behind her, she pushed open the door for the pretty, older, and more close-minded version of herself, managing a soft laugh at some random comment she said. She slipped off her light jacket and took her mother's before looking around. "Adri?"

The apartment was spotless, everything put away, even his clothes were arranged nicely in her bedroom.
