Subject: Times we live in.

More and more we hear people say we are in the end times. This seems especialy true in light of many current world events. But just what is "The End Times". What is the span of time we are talking about here? Have we been in the end times ever since Jesus died for us? Since the second world war? Since Isrial regained a homeland? What is your understanding of this? Are we in the end times? If so, where are we within them? Do you forsee the world continuing on the way it is for another 2000 yeras? How about 200? Ten? Lets hear some ideas on this.

I believe we are indeed in the last days..the bible speaks to us very clearly concerning this. As for the time the bible says we are not to know the actual time, but we must watch and be ready for His return. I believe the endtimes began in 1948 when the Jewish people returned to their homeland and became a nation. I believe the second coming is sooner than most people think.

I agree with your assesment. We are not to know the EXCATE time, but we were also given signs to watch for, as a guide post to the times we are in. When we look at the signs which have already come to pass which we were told to watch for, it is very hard to argue that we are not in the end times already.

First of all, the end of the world and the end of times (or time) are two different occurances. The end of time would be the instant that time does not exist. Or in other words eternity or all times. It is of the ultimate and complete spiritual communion with God,(each individual's final destination).

As far as the other, many worlds prior our own have come and gone, in fact they are constantly ending every instant. For every life that passes forth, so does his/her world.

I realize that these questions are based more along the lines of end all theories.
However, there have been many misunderstandings, many have been based on the physical signs alone. But the spiritual have not been properly addressed. The problem with these theories is that most people do not question them. Unfortunately the so-called pop-culture prophets of our times are mearly working on the fears of others. This in itself is wrong. What have they really done to help mankind? Most of their so-called religion is heartless and void of proper intellect. They have done but feed society with more unwholesome fictitious worries and uncertainties. The state of the world as a whole does indeed look bleak,... however I am not so sure their ways are helping the true welfare of mankind. Their fear-based methods to bring people to follow their ideas is an act of tyranny. Please read the following,....

"In spite of the interdiction, man disobeys and commits the
original sin from which humanity must eternally wash itself. This cannot signify an arbitrary punishment imposed on all the descendants of man. It signifies that the actual human being has not yet attained the degree of perfection he must reach. He did not pass the test. He is still dominated by his ancestral instincts and he disobeys God by obeying them. It signifies that every man will be confronted with the same dilemma, that every man will have to face the same conflict and that he will only triumph by crushing the animal impulses within himself and by consecrating himself to the triumph of the spirit. Thus, he will fulfill his mission as a man, and will contribute to the divine plan which tends to produce a spiritually perfect being. Human progress, therefore, no longer depends solely on God, but on the effort made by each man individually. By giving man liberty and conscience God
abdicated a part of his omnipotence in favor of his creature, and this represents the spark of God in man (“God is within you”). Liberty is real, for God Himself refused to trammel it. It is necessary, for without it man cannot progress, cannot evolve.

The animal struggle against nature, against the elements, and against the enemy, the “struggle for Life,” from which the human form finally emerged after ten million centuries, is transformed into a struggle of Man against the remains of the animal within him. But, from now on, because of his conscience, it is the individual alone who counts and no longer the species. He will prove that he is the forerunner of the future race, the ancestor of the spiritually perfect man, of which Christ was, in a sense, the premature example, by emerging victorious from the fight. Thus Christ can be assimilated to one of the intermediary, transitional forms, perhaps a million years in advance of evolution. Who came amongst us to keep us from despair, and to prove to us that our efforts can and must succeed. He in truth died for us, for had He not been crucified, we would not have been convinced.
Consequently, any restriction to liberty of conscience is contrary to the great law of evolution, that is, to the divine Will, and represents Evil.
If certain individuals make bad use of their freedom, so much the worse for them. The test was unfavorable. They were not evolved enough to understand. As far as they are concerned, the trial was a failure. In nature, chance favors a small number of eggs out of the hundreds of thousands laid by one fish. As it is impossible to distinguish one egg from another it does not matter which one survives. In mankind, the individual is no longer indiscernible, and each being has an equal chance to qualify as an element of moral evolution. If man does not seize this chance, If he does not understand intuitively or rationally the significance of his decision, it denotes that he was not fitted to play his part. Others will assume the responsibility of assuring the ascendant march of evolution.
We must, therefore, instruct men, and not blindfold them under the pretext that society will lead them by the hand and guide them. Nobody has the right to substitute his own conscience for that of another, for progress depends on personal effort, and to suppress this effort constitutes a crime.
The whole will of man must be concentrated on this struggle in which he is upheld by the newly acquired sense of human dignity, from which he must draw at the same time the necessary strength and the proof of his destiny.
IT IS IN THE INTENSITY OF HIS EFFORT, AND NOT IN ITS FORM NOR IN ITS RESULT, THAT THE TRUE DEGREE OF HUMANIZATION IS REVEALED.

In that of the Scriptures, liberty was given to man by God. This is true in every realm, physical as well as moral, and condemns certain doctrines on the same grounds as dictatorships. LIBERTY IS NOT ONLY A PRIVILEGE; IT IS A TEST. NO human institution has the right to exempt man from it!"

[> Re: Times we live in. -- John The Beloved Disciple of Christ, 15:38:06 05/15/06 Mon

>My name is John. My "last name" doesn't really matter. It never did because people have always called me something else anyway. The answers to all of the questions anyone has right now concerning the end should read, The Little Book, that Jesus gave to John and told him to eat it up and then prophesy before many nations, tongues, peoples, and kings. Because what's in The Little Book is going to inform everyone of what is, is to come, and what we are supposed to do in the meantime. I have been giving by The One True Living God, The Little Book.
