Subject: My 2004 KIA Sedona

I live in Florida and my Kia has 56000 miles now. I have had it in the shop over and over again for brakes. They tell me that the van is heavy and it is how I drive that causes my breaks to go out any where from 20000, to this last time 6000 miles. I have had many different kinds of cars and vans and never had this kind of problem and consider myself at 53 years of age whom has never caused an accident to be a very safe driver, and live in an area that is flat. They have tried to accuse me of being a person that rides the brakes, which I'm a right one footed driver, and I let them know this, and then they tried to say that I should not brake as often. So what you get right up on something then try to stop a heavy van as they called it? Wilth the brakes that are in this van I let off the gas way before I get to where I need to stop and I'm to the point I'm afraid to even use the brakes because they will go out and it will end up costing me hundreds of dollars to get it fixed, because Kia does not cover their brakes under their warrenty. To say the least I left the dealership this last time in tears with them almost yelling at me that it is the way that I drive. I did not let them fix the brakes this last time and told them to just put it back together and I left there and went staight to another dealership (not Kia) and found another van that I may perchase today. I will never buy another one. So anyone that is thinking about buying a Kia all I can say is don't!
