Date Posted: 19:04:22 01/07/03 Tue BRINGING BACK THE GOLDEN AGE OF MUSIC After a break of some 18 months, Grampian Rock 'n' Roll Club makes a welcome return to the live music scene in North East Scotland. The organisers have arranged a series of informal Rocking events throughout 2003 where non-members will be made very welcome - beginning on Friday 17th January in Hoagies Basement Bar of the Crescent Hotel, Bon Accord Crescent, Aberdeen. Live music will be provided by Aberdeen's premier rock 'n' roll band KING VOODOO (fresh from the Hogmanay Party at Pittodrie Stadium) on the opening night with support from THREE DJs. The monthly meetings will feature some of the UK's best Rock and Roll groups continuing in February with THE ACCELERATORS from Dundee with bands like THE RHYTHMAIRES travelling up from LONDON later in the year. If you "dig the beat" of Elvis, Bill Haley, Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent then look out your Blue Suede Shoes and head for Hoagies on Friday night.
