Her grumpy mood dissipated as she greeted Amelia with a nudge, and then ate her meal. Ah, treats! Amelia knew her well. Much happier, H.B.'s ears perked up, listening to Amelia's talk as Amelia groomed her.

When the woman finished, H.B. not only looked better, but felt better as well. The mare enjoyed the absence of the itchy dried mud on her back she'd gotten when rolling in the paddock. Moreover, the currying not only cleaned her coat but also felt relaxing and comfortable.

For this reason, the mare easily accepted her tack. Usually, she was a bit girthy and unwilling to accept a bit, but in her good mood, she was happy to prepare to be ridden.

((Wow, I feel as though I completely chopped up this post. In my opinion, it doesn't flow well at all, so please forgive me!))
