Here is a little news clip that I received today. I wish I could be there to see Bob receive his much deserved and long overdue award! Congratulations Bob!!

Scruffy rocker Sir Bob Geldof will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Meteor Music Awards next month.

The star-studded event at Dublin's Point Theatre on March 3 will honour the former Boomtown Rats frontman for his charity work, most notably Live Aid in 1985.

A spokesman for promoters MCD said: "Sir Bob has been a
leading figure in the recording industry for both his music and his campaigning for humanitarian causes."

Dubliner Geldof, 49, organised the Live Aid benefit for starving Ethiopians and raising millions. He has since been knighted.
