Subject: Dire groups doing 'Do they know it's Christmas?'

Now, I just heard that Bob has refused to allow these dire, incredibly awful girl and boy rubbish who call themselves bands to cover 'Do they know it's Christmas'. Assuming the point is to raise money, I just wondered why. I know they are a complete embarrassment to music, but if it brings in cash for the worst famine yet in Ethiopia, maybe it could work. I wonder if it thinks it will be so god awful that no-one would buy it and it would be an embarrassing flop and do nothing for Ethiopia in the process? Can anyone shed any light?
