Hi! I have alot of thoughts on this. First I want to make remind everyone that J.K said it was going to be one of Harry's fans and a hard death to write, using these clues I have come to thie train of though.

Ginny Weasley: She fits the profile but I feel that it is too obvious and I also think that Ginny has a later part to play in the books.

Neville Longbottom: Not a "fan" and he also, I believe, has a reason to live to the end or close to the end of the series. His Gryffindor colors are going to blaze before he dies. He might die in OoP in some kind of battle but I doubt it.

Colin/Dennis Creevy: I am making them one because they have the same reasoning. I don't think this would be all that hard to write but they are Harry's Fans in the true sense of the word fan. Possible and likely, that is why I don't believe it.

Dumbledore: I think that he will in fact die and 5 is likely because it would bring more gravity into the sistuation adn make a good set up for 6 and 7. This might happen.

Cho: I don't think so. I also don't believe her and Harry will have a real relationship because she might blame Harry for Cedric's death. Her death also wouldn't be that hard to write. I don't see her as anything more than a plot device for Harry to have a crush.

Hagrid: Very possible and fits it all perfectly. Something might happen while he is off to see the Giants. It does sound too likely though. J.K. has hinted that Hagrid will die (Robbie said he was signed for all of the books Hagrid is in.) and Hagrid is her favorite. This is one of the more likely characters to die.

McGongall: Not likely. I feel that she will be the glue when Dumbledore dies, she will hold Hogwarts together. I don't think she will die at all.

Sirius: Not yet! No! I refuse to think about this one. I think that he won't die or at least until seven. In my mind he is going to have a lot to do with the order.

Remus: Very, very, very, very, very likely. I have a theory that most of you know because I tell it to everyone. Remus is a werewolf (sorry if this is a spoiler but I assume you all have read the books in most cases more than once) and silver kills werewolves. Peter, Peter, Power eater has a silver hand. I feel this is symbolic and says that Peter will kill Remus. This may happen later on but I believe (I want to be wrong! I really do) Peter will kill him. As far as J.K. saying that Remus will have a larger role in 7 I want to point out Prior Incantium scene in GoF as well as the interraction between the Hogwarts ghosts and the students. He doesn't have to be alive to have a huge impact.

Hermione: Not yet, her role have to play out and Harry needs her as part of his support system. She may die but I don't see it soon.

Ron: Not yet. He is part of Harry's support system and won't go yet.

Bill/Charlie/Fred/George: They fit the characteristics also and are not thought of when this topic comes up so I believe it is a possibility. It also might set up resentment between Ron and Harry because Ron might think that his brother died because of Harry's actions.

Percy: He is not grouped with the others for a reason. Who knows if he will stick with Fudge or Dumbledore? He job is his life, I mean when was the last time we heard a mention of Penny? We hear about his job but not his girlfriend? If he is on Fudge's side his stupidy may kill him but if he is on Dumbledore's side he could die a hero. I believe it is likely that he will die but I don't think he fits the characteristics unless we get more background on him. If he was getting/was over the summer married to Penny and then he died it changes it a bit because he no longer has that dry character complex.

Mr./Mrs. Weasley: I think this might be it. Both of them are beloved characters and have important roles in Harry's life. They act as his parents in a way. Also they are major people on Dumbledore's side. I feel that this is very likely.

Krum: Nope! I don't think so. I also don't buy that he is a death eater. I think he was used to but tension on Ron/Hermione as a plot device as well as be a figurehead of Drumstrang. Someone for Harry and Ron to compete with, both in different ways though.

Peter: God I wish it to be him! Please, a nice long death by firelight. Remus and Sirius should kill him or a special kiss. Won't happen though. Not yet. He also doens't fit the characteristics.

Voldermort: No way in Bloody * covers mouth * almost slipped there. Sorry.

Draco: No! I feel he is in it for the long run. J.K. said that he and Harry will not outright join forces but I can see him having a change of heart if say Voldermort kills his father because he failed at something. I don't think he is going to die yet and he isn't a fan of Harry's so no worry there.

Crabbe/Goyle: Do we really care? No major impact on the story or the audience. They are too minor in plot sense (except for CoS I know) to be used as the major death we are awaiting. Don't fit the characteristics.

Arabella Figg/Mungus Fletcher: Characters haven't been established and roles are still left to play. Not until 6 at least.

The Dursleys: Don't fit the characteristics and have been hinted at that they will all have roles in upcoming books. There is some kind of charm or protection for Harry there so I think they might be under the same protection, for the moment at least.

Fudge: I wish, I wish, I wish! I believe this will happen but I am not sure when. He still has to make a huge fool of himself a bit more and Voldermort might want to keep him around. He is stupid enough to try to cover it all up and not fight back but if he is killed Dumbledore might gain more power.

Winky/Dean/Seamus/Pansy/Patil/All other minor characters not mentioned above: Likely in the snese we aren't expecting it but unlikely as it won't have a huge impact unless the character is brought into the lime light like Cedric was in GoF.

Dobby: My choice to die! He is one of Harry's greatest fans and would fight to protect Harry. He is often used in all of the books except SS/PS and while annoying is one of those characters you like in the back of your mind.

I would write more but I haven't been to bed yet and it is nearly 9 am. I am going to go and read, try to wake myself up. I cna go for two days without sleep and this is day two so forgive me if I ramble and make no sense. I might sleep as a matter of fact. I have nothing to do today and classes don't start until September for me. If anyone has any other characters that I left out tell me because I like to make a list.
