Subject: Chronology of the ACLU FOIA torture litigation.

Since the accusation has been made that the release of the inspector general's report was purely political to take "eyes off healthcare", I thought it might be interesting to provide a time line showing where this all began.

Obviously, the inspector general thought there were violations of US law, the Geneva Convention and International Law for him to refer it to the justice department. The following links contain links within them for anyone to pursue further.

It should be noted that John McCain, a former POW has spoken publicly in opposition torture, as has Lindsey Graham, a JAG reserve officer—both Republicans.

Eric Holder’s statement regarding the inspector general’s report which was SENT to the justice department for action.
