i almost agree with chilly willy on this one. he is close. close but not yet there. the real canadian athlete is the fat sack of shit that eats a bucket of chicken before his hockey game, drinks four beers, and smokes while hes on the bench. after the game he drinks four more beers, smokes some more and gets made fun of by the rest of his team for not knowing what his feet look like anymore because his gut is so fat. but he doesn't care, they ordered a pizza and thats whats on his mind. this is the true athlete of the year. he's doing it for the game. he takes his life in his hands every time his laces up. isn't that the true canadian sports icon?

but if we're choosing based on performance no doubt MW wins, hands down. but only on the last tournanment of the year did he make it. other than that, i don't know. joe sakic is shite. larry walker is a baseball player. what about the canadian cricket team? i don't have a clue how to play cricket but we did something good. i think we need team cheema to explain the fundamentals.
