Hi deftones_lifter.
Kaizers Orchestra are Norwegian, they are actually from the same town as GP, Stavanger.
I'm going to write a short description on each so you can choose what kind of music you want.
In alphabetic order.
Artist - Album:
Bigbang - Electronic Psalmbook:
(60/70's pop/rock, beautiful record, one of my favourites of all time)
Briskeby - Jeans for Onasis:
(70/80's inspired rock) They're releasing a new album soon, so maybe you should check that out, but as I haven't heard it, can't tell. Catchy tunes, a good album.
Cato Salsa Experience - A Good Tip For A Good Time:
60s garage rock. This is their debut cd, it's very good if you're into this kind of music.
Gluecifer - Basement Apes:
Rock with attitude, kinda like Queens Of The Stone Age
Turbonegro - Newest cd:
One of the biggest selling bands outside norway these days. Is a big hype in England and America, many famous bands and artists are big fans. Hard rock at its best!
Gåte - Jigry:
This is in norwegian, but it's truly one of the best arranged cds in Norway the last year. It's rock mixed with old scandinavian folk songs, yeah, it sounds dull, but in my opinion it's the best album in Norway from 2002.
Jaga Jazzist - A Livingroom Hush:
If you're into jazz you should check this out, sounds like nothing you¨ve heard before. Have won many jazz prizes in the UK.
Kåre & the Caveman - Long Day's Flight Till Tomorrow:
Excellent experimental, mostly instrumental, 60's psycedelic rock.
Madgruda - The Nightly Disease part I:
Dark, melancolic and slow. Madgrudada lets you drift along with the music, one of the best norwegian albums.
Motorpsycho - Phanerothyme:
This band is the band almost every other Norwegian band say they admire and take inspiration from. Hard to put them into any category, but they're playing a somewhat instrumental pop/rock. Excellent musicians.
Thomas Dybdahl - That Great October Sound:
Beautiful singer/songwriter album, the second best album of 2002. Sounds like Jeff Buckley mixed with Tom Mcrae if you've heard of them. You need to look into this in my opinion.
I personally dislike Bjorn Eidsvag and Royksopp..
