As you can see, there are two messages listed in the index. Both are from me. Both of these begin "threads" because they are both original messages from me rather than replies to a posted message.

If you want to start a new discussion, post a new message. Be sure to make the message subject clear so we will know the subject of your thread. If you start a new thread/message/topic you are expecting people to reply to you, to carry on the discussion.

If you want to enter a discussion already begun by someone else, click their message to read it, and then post a reply to the message. You can reply to an original posting, or reply to a reply (to make a comment on what someone else has said).
