To: All full and probationary members of the Order of the Shining Harpoon
Leaders of guilds allied to OSH
Fm: Harpoon Cmdr. Elite HellHarpoon-OSH and Harpoon Cmdr. Evul`Hawk-OSH

Members:

It is our sad duty today to inform you that, with the lack of guild
activity and interest, the Order of the Shining Harpoon is being disbanded
effective immediately, December 29, 1999. Since the guild's founding on
March 19, 1998, (Where does the time go?) the guild performed its original
purpose -- to provide a safe and fun place for members to play Diablo and
associate in general -- admirably when it was active, but the guild has now
been inactive for months at a time and has done all it can do. It is time
to call an end to it.

We'd like to give special thanks to the following, who helped the OSH along
during its long (by battle.net standards, anyhow) history:
Mike Perrin (DeathFyre-OSH), who provided the first recruiting burst that
got the guild on its feet
Thomas Bono (TuffGuy-OSH) and Stephen Morgan (Merque-OSH), who were both
extremely valuable advisors.
Gary Weinman (FaFarogue-OSH), who was a splendid training officer.
Rick Gallipeau (Evul`Hawk-OSH) ... no one is quite sure what he did, but he
was VERY good at it.
"Brian Trout" (Drizzt-OSH), who gave our underworked security officer
something to do for a few days in May, 1998. :)
All our allies over the months: the Veil of Silence, the First Knights of
Diablo, the Lords of Honor, the Safe Haven, The Chosen, the Gods of War,
and any others I may have forgotten.
And, last but not least, all those who have been members in the OSH, from
the very beginning to
the present. You are the ones who made the guild a success in the time it
was active.

It has been an honor to lead you, and we both hope that you all have a good
time on battle.net, and in any other games you may have taken up. Thank you
for your commitment to the Order of the Shining Harpoon. Good luck, and
good gaming.
