Heh, yea the mines are kinda tough. It's not that the Kobolds are all that tough, they've just got those bows and are really annoying.

-2 AC...heh heh heh. My lead guy (a Paladin) has a -7 AC. It's pretty sweet. He's all suped up too, with an additional -8 adjustment to missile weapons. He never gets hit with bows anymore.

Right now, I'm in the city of Baldur's Gate, a frickin' huge city. It took me 3 days of game time to explore the damn city, but I've been in pretty near every house. What annoyed me was when I was trying to find an inn, (my Mage FINALLY got Fireball and Lightning Bolt.) and the first inn I find is under attack by green slime. Anyway, I whoop up on the slime, but the innkeeper is killed. Damn. :-)

As for dealing with the mines: I suggest you add Minsc and Dynaheir to your party. Minsc is somewhere in Nashkel. He'll want you to help him rescue Dynaheir, who was captured by Gnolls. Minsc is by far my favorite NPC. "Camaderie, adventure, steel on steel. It is the stuff of legends! Right Boo?" "Butt kicking for goodness!" "Squeaky wheel gets the kick!"

Heh heh heh. It's cooooool. And they'll make the mines mucho easier. I'd also advise getting Khalid and Imoen hooked up with bows. Anyway, it's a kickin' game. Most of my guys are closing in on level 7 now. Woohoo!

Oh yea, I'm on 80 some odd days. I don't know where the time went, but I've explored the entire world map and done every mini-quest I could find. Heh heh heh.
