Subject: Woohoo!

I'm excited. I just called this phone number to get my AP test grades early, even though it cost $10 to do it, because otherwise I'd have to wait about another month, and it's kinda important that I know my grades ASAP cause they effect what classes I will be taking this fall. Back in May I took the test for Calculus AB, Physics C: Mechanics, and English: Literature & Composition. The grading scale is from 1 to 5, in case any of you are unfamiliar with AP (Advanced Placement) tests. A score of 3 on any test will normally test you out of college classes. Well, I got a 3 on English, testing me out of my freshman English class at Purdue, and I'm thankful that it did so cause I never liked English in the first place. I got a 5 on the other two tests, which made me very happy, because, while I was pretty sure I did well on Calculus, I wasn't so sure about Physics, and the 5 (being the best score one can get) came as quite a shock to me. Also, and this is actually kinda sad really, it makes me the first person ever from Batesville High School to have received a perfect score on an AP Calculus or Physics test. You might think that by now at least someone else from Batesville would have done that, cause the AP tests have been around forever, but if you think that then you've obviously never met the typical Batesville teenager. Most of them are doing pretty good to spell their name correctly. Common sense just doesn't abound here. In fact, intelligent thought of any kind is really pretty rare. I'd go as far as saying that a large percentage of the intelligent thought in Batesville left when Phule's family moved out. Oh well. I leave here soon anyway, so I don't really care.
Well, I have to go eat dinner now so my food has time to digest before I go to the YMCA to run 6 miles and lift weights. I haven't lifted weights since last August really, so my arms will probably be hurting pretty bad tomorrow cause they've lost some of the conditioning that they once had. Back when I weighed 135 (I'll never see those days again, although I only weigh about 150 now) I could bench press 205 lbs. Quite an accomplishment really, especially if you saw the size of my arms... they're really pretty thin... always have been and probably always will be. Even when I was bench pressing a greater percentage of my body weight than almost anyone else on the football team. Well anyway, I really should be going.
