I don't know if what I have done really qualifies as practice, however, I began by talking about my ideas to a friend, two of my teachers, and the Development Director of my agency. I guess I would say I practiced my speech because I went through how I was going to present my points, what I was going to talk about and the problem that I intend to discuss. It was helpful because I received comments from the persons that the problems deal with, my teachers, comments from the Development Director who is involved in the problem as well but in a different perspective and from an outside source, my friend. I talked with my friend more about audience analysis and how the topic would come across.

I am having a real time crunch attempting to put together the visual aids more than anything. I feel very comfortable with my topic and the information is close to my heart so it is easy for me to talk about. These issues alone make me feel comfortable about talking about this issue in front of our class. I think the more passionate you are about an issue the more helpful it is in making you feel at ease and I always talk to myself before any presentation and tell myself how important the issue is in getting out to the public, so that helps as well.
