What is acceptable at work is far different than what is acceptable at work. I agree with Nelson. When at work, the e-mail system is not ours, our time is not ours to do with as we please either. To be honest, I have such a heavy load of work-related e-mails per day that it is a real nuisance when I receive a chain e-mail, or a joke buried about 4 other e-mails down on the screen. A brief quip, or an encouraging word sent directly to someone is a completely different thing.
