Usually the CEO of a large corporation will place the burden of running the operation upon the shoulders of his/her VP. But in many situations, the boss should be careful to leave a pager, e-mail, or voice mail number so members can quickly get in touch with him/her. The best form of communication would be warranted by the type of emergency. The company is on fire---pager with 911 typed in.
