Absolutely not. English is a language that needs to taught in it's purest form, not is a street format. The reason being is that ebonics will never be apart of the business scene. Thus, it won't be apart of the college system. The proper use of English needs to be taught and emphasized on how important it is for students to continue in striving to excel in the English language (it is the primary language of this country). I think that by allowing the "teaching" of ebonics in schools or even the toleration of it, is allowing people to take the "short-cut" sort of speak. Nothing good comes easy. Everything worthwhile takes hard work. I believe that by allowing ebonics to be taught and tolerated sends the wrong message.
