Charcoal looks quizzingly at the scales in his hand, and then at the scales under Yavieba's Heartstone. He looked a bit confused. He may have loved a Shadow, but he didn't know all that much about their ways of life. He shakes his head and offers her a lopsided grin. You may think me a bit dense because of this, but I'm not quite sure what you're implying. What it sounds like is that these are your parents scales, as in Raistling and B&C, he says, motioning tot he ones in his claw. He then points to the ones beneath her Heartstone. And that because they match those under your Heartstone, that's how you know who your parents' are. But I could be totally off. I'm just taking a wild stab in the dark.
