.startled, the Shadowess leaped up. .but, she remained planted upon the ground because of her mate's strong grip. .smirking, she summoned the shadows to help her. .darkness spread throughout the area. .the cavern was pitch black. .blinking her eyes, only the glittering hues of gold remained visible, as she remained in his arms. .her words were melodic, tinged with devious tones. .And now, my love, it is dark. As dark and dank as the deepest midnight. And I control the light. What will you do about that, playful one?. .her talons reached around, and grabbed at his sides, hopefully tickling him to allow her an escape route. .ready, her tail swayed back and forth. .yet, something plagued her mind... .something was up in Everdark, but she did not care now. .now, it was gleeful and fun. .and it would stay that way, getting ready for to be released, unless truly dire need arrived.
