It was a chance to keep on living - stripped of his title and position and worth. But, living. The wing-clipped demon didn't respond at first to Shite's call, but a few moments later he walked out of the bathroom, blinking behind his hair at the pair that had entered the room. They did that when he felt bad, or uneasy about something. He moved to Ek'Nav, reaching back to gently rub his wings, whispering quietly to Ek'Nav. "Hey... Dorjan says I gotta make use of Hayden. He didn't relax into the light touches that Shite offered this time, his two-toned eyes shifting uneasily from Shite to the new boy standing in the room. His claws flexed a bit, nervously. Hayden could tell that the other one wasn't too interested in presence. Well, wasn't interested at all in his presence. His wings slowly spread a bit more, starting to look a lot more like an avion's hackling stance. He didn't, however, step away from Shite or open his eyes. His trust in the other had obviously grown to some extent during their partnership. Hayden looked up as he was addressed, his expression showing that he wasn't exactly comfortable in this situation either. Although his hearing wasn't good enough to pick up on all of what Shite was saying, he wasn't exactly comfortable with the little bits he did hear. As Shite asked him to move, Hayden complied. He was affectionate with the man. Maybe he just used him as a worry stone, or maybe he just wanted to keep him calm. Whatever it was, he was doing it, so it didn't matter. He looked over at Ek'Nav, and gave a reassuring smile, before looking back at Hayden, watching him. He kept his eyes attent, searching him over for once. He had to have a good use, right? There was no doubt he was highly trained, and well-mannered, but... Shite was right on the money about Ek'Nav. The situation could so easily change into something gory, it wasn't even funny. For now, however, Ek'Nav seemed to be remaining calm himself. He leaned slightly into Shite's touches, eyes closed and his hair fringe blocking off any direct vision of his face. "Get some sleep, Hayden." That was all he needed to say, and he layed on the bed quietly, biting his lip and staring at the ceiling. It had been a hard day, it seemed. He'd have to adjust a lot to this new situation and his new owners, and he knew it would take time. Perhaps a whole lot of time. Ek'Nav had taken a seat on his windowsill, something he almost always enjoyed doing at night and in the early morning - though that tended to be a bit dangerous for the demon. He pulled back the shade, clumsily, to stare up at the night sky. Even some of the simplest things were complicated by the presence of his talons, and sometimes it was just too obvious that he couldn't ever function without someone looking after him. As the smell of burning cigarette started to fill the room, Ek'Nav shuffled his wings slightly, but made no movement to seperate himself from his window. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
