In reply to: Shite 's message, "<*>Unlucky<*>" on 20:49:51 07/04/06 Tue

He flickered his wing slightly, but he nodded. Perhaps he just didn't like Shite's attention straying, or perhaps he was weary of the human altogether. It was really too hard to tell.

As far his relationship with Shite was concerned, it was going no where fast. Ek'Nav had tried best to restrain himself from the more physical and brutal aspects of his nature, but with another person in his living space... it wouldbe hard.

Shite had learned long ago to cope with such actions from Ek'Nav. It wasn't as if they would go away forever. Not only that, but Shite had learned that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't just... be close to Ek'Nav like he wanted to be. Ek'Nav was so hard to read at times that Shite made a wrong move and would get near eviscerated. But every time it happened, it only made him try that much harder to be the one person that Ek'Nav could trust completely. Sometimes it worked. Other times, it didn't.

He looked at Ek'Nav, and gently reached over, rubbing his wings. "Sometimes I wish we could just understand eachother completely. I don't think that'll happen any time soon. But maybe one day, you'll get me, and I'll get you." He puffed at his cigarette.

Idealistic romanticism could have been something that anyone else would have pointed out to Shite about his last statement, but those words were not within Ek'Nav's vocabulary, and far from his own internalized understanding of things. There was little more than the physical aspects of feeling to the demon, and Shite knew that.

The muscles in the wings, tiny as they were, relaxed at Shite's touch. Maybe this would work out, maybe it wouldn't. But for now, Ek'Nav trusted the other to the extent that he'd trusted anyone else.

Shite shut his eyes, rubbing the other's wings as much for himself as for Ek'Nav. It came to mind that maybe they were a cute couple, but it was quickly stripped away. If anything they were a working pair. One played off the other, and vice versa. Other than that, they weren't too terribly cute compaired to anything. Shite lit another cigarette, puffing at it quietly.

With a semi-contented sigh the demon leaned back a bit more against the wall, and a little to the side towards Shite. If a demon could love... it was best to not have Shite even thinking in that direction. It wasn't something that Ek'Nav was capable of understanding or feeling, and it was hard enough for him to recognize it if that was even possible.
