ok let me raddle off my managery of pets so far. I will start with the oldest and move on. Jinx, 12 yrs. she is a black cat, Jaz, 11 yrs. he is a 30# cat, Kitana(Momma,Tana) 7 yrs. she is a 125# Rottweiler, Zeus (Mr.Moose) 5 yrs. he is a 145# Rottweiler, Blaze, 3 yrs. he is a Bearded Dragon, he comes out of his cage when weather is hot. Kara (Thumpette) 2 yrs. she is a Lionhead Rabbit that runs loose in the house all the time, Lady (Do) 2yrs. she is a 100# Rottweiler (a daughter of the other 2). Also have 4 birds 2 per cage (2 cages) Canaries, Gouldian Finches and 3 fish tanks 5 gal., 20 high, 60 gal. hex. And once we get out of town in the country we plan to get more kritters. oh yeah, we raised a baby squirrel and Momma helped me. Yes, everyone lives very peacefully together nobody tries to eat anybody. We even have every stray animal in town come here and our yard is fenced in!!! My vet just doesn't understand it with the Rotts all the animals know they are here. When I introduce a new animal to my children ( I do have a 10 yr. old daughter also) I do it one kritter at a time, with each animal. For example, your cats, one cat with Roxy at a time, they will feed off eachothers emotions about it, one at a time. Hold the cat, let them sniff each other and get each others smell, don't put the cat down!!! Instant chase!!! The cat probalby won't be very happy about it. Do it slowly see each other first, then smell and take your cue from that. Good luck!!! Most Rotts aren't good with other pets, you have to start socializing early and keep it up. They generally want all the attention themselves but at least this way you'll know how she'll be. Don't do this by yourself. Have someone help you, 1 person hold the cat, 1 person hold on to Roxy just in case they don't like each other. More or less Roxy, if someone holds her at least the other can get the cat away.
