Montreal, PQ - Changes were definitely coming. The Marauders Hockey Club stumbled out of the gate and have yet to win a game. Buried at the bottom of the standings, the team is a shadow of the squad that was one game from its first Hoser Cup appearance just a few short months ago. And everyone knew that changes were coming.

GM Sean Gallagher and Saskatoon's Ken McKenna connected this afternoon and quickly made a deal to help both teams.

The first has reportedly already happened, as extra part, but solid defenseman, Jason York was shipped to Saskatoon for Dave Andreychuk. The veteran scorer and consummate leader is still in route to Montreal, but he already has a present waiting for him: The Captain's "C".

"I've already spoken to him," said current Captain, Keith Tkachuk, "I was so impressed with him that I offered it to him right over the phone. Told him I wouldn't take no for an answer."

Respected around the league, Andreychuk will have some work ahead of him in a youngish Montreal locker room.

"We've got some veteran guys," said Gallagher, "but we're overall a pretty young bunch. We hope he can snap some guys' heads around."

Gallagher also lauded his trading partner, McKenna.

"Ken put this together, and I have to give him credit. This is a great deal for both teams and I didn't even see it. He has a good eye for this league and he's a no-nonsense guy. I'm sure he's just as happy with this deal as we are, because Yorkie is just one of those quiet guys who gets the job done."

The door has opened for trading in Montreal and it looks like more are on the way. The Marauders have been in contact with several teams in a bid to strengthen their center and defensive positions.

"It's more a matter of "when", than "if"," confirmed Gallagher. We're making some moves, and really, none of these guys are safe right now if we don't start winning."
