The source, while remaining anonymous, did confirm GM SEan Gallagher's interest in acquiring another netminder as Evgeni Nabokov has struggled. The catch, however, is that Gallagher does not want to trade Nabokov. "He wants another guy who can start to come in and hopefully get Nabokov jump-started, "said the source, "he simply is not being pushed by [John] Grahame enough." The source reports that the team is shopping the numer two and number three tenders along with other sweeteners to land a new number 1A type of netminder. "Grahame and [Martin] Biron could draw some interest," confirmed the source, "and adding a little to the package may draw an older vet who can shoulder a big load." The story is that Gallagher has already contacted two to three teams with more to come. "Salary is an issue, so some guys can't really be looked at right now, but if a trading partner had some deep pockets, things could change."
