Those schooling days most of us would be given pocket money by parents for purpose of buying food. But in my case and and may be most of our classmates also we would not spend all the pocket money. We would RIPONG a few cents a week and by the end of the month we would have enough money to go to TENGOK WAYANG di panggong KAPITO or STANA. I remember those days it was not easy to buy the movie tickets especially KLAH NO. 3. You would have to BEREBUT to get your hands (with the money) into the small opening to buy the tickets from the man inside. Imagine 10 to 15 people all squeezing and on top of each other trying to buy tickets from that little hole. That led to the appearance of enterprising individuals selling tickets in the black market. I am sure classmates would remember names like MINGGU KAPITO, MAT PALA KERAH, MASO GELIGE and others. I remember on one occasion Latiff Mohd and me JUA NYOR di Wireless near rumoh Dato' Mazlan (Jalan Pusara sekarang) and then went to see FILEM HINDUSTANG - but that is another story.
