I do not think schools are a place for corporal punishment. I think that parents should be allowed to discipline their children through spanking, within reasonable boundaries. Teachers, however, should not be allowed/should not have to discipline children through corporal punishment because their focus is teaching academics not behavioral mechanics. I feel nurses should also not take part in corporal punishment because their patients are helpless to defend themselves due to sickness. A nurses job is to assist in the healing of a patient not punish them in any way. The children/teacher relationships relates because children are not allowed to defend themselves if a situation excels the set boundaries.
