Subject: Corporal Punishment

The website I found www.religioustolerance.org/spank3.htm was very interesting but the Bible says that if you spare the rod you spoil the child. God knew that people was going to react the way that have which is why these biblical laws were written. In my opinion I believe that corporal punishment is needed because many of our children have gone astray simply because some parents have incorporated a no corporal punishment mind set that is only hurting our children. I do not believe that there is a difference in parents spanking their children and teachers spanking. As educators, we are not only teachers we have to be parents,counselors,and a friend to the children. There maybe a difference depending upon the situation. I believe that whatever the situation is, children should be treated fairly.
