Subject: Call to younger members to support your community

In the Nov. issue of the Gazette our President Terri, asks our younger members to par-take in some of the responsibilities of our community. I would like to respond. At the meeting last Thurs. night, when it was mentioned that I had come forth to be on the "Welcoming Committee" one Gloria Turrigiano, shouted"O!NO! Not her!" Well, Gloria, is the same person who is on Crime Watch, who when my daughter went down to sign up for Crime Watch, stated, "I heard she's no good" Well Gloria, I've got news for you. When we first came here it was I who started the teen club when all you "senior citizens" couldn't and wouldn't give the time of day to my children. It was my husband and I who changed that thinking around. It was our group who donated to a needy family at Christmas and it was all self earned. Our same daughter who tried to offer her assistance to Crime Watch, was raised here and has ALWAYS been well thought of. It has be ME who looks after the Farmers animals for the last 15 years. Your dog is one of those in my Farm Pet Registry. IT has been me who has supported the Lions Club Christmas drive each and every year for 15 years. Ask Gordon Coutts. You, Gloria, who think you are so high and mighty may one day get your come-upinst as playing God, by being so judgemental. You are not a perfect person, in my eyes and those of many others. It is of this same thinking, that we cannot keep employees who are honest and trustworthy, because they will not be treated in such a dispicable manner. People will only take so much and when it become too much, they leave with notice or without. To those who are about to become members of the FPOA, my advise is do not become involved in anything around here! And if you have children, you'd better think twice about moving here for there is not much here for your kids. Do your own thing OFF the Farm. You will be treated better for it. My time is much too valuable than to ever GIVE it to a group who takes you for granted again....and then finds fault with who you are and what your beleifs are ...no more!! You get no thanks for what you do around here. I will continue to greet my new neighbors with a loaf of home made bread or cookies or soup as I have done for many years, but I will NEVER be part of anything but the Gazette again. It's no wonder, I like animals more than most people!
