Subject: Filtering smoke machine smoke

Hi,

I have some delicate electronic equipment that needs to go in a
nightclub environment. The unit needs clean air, and as such I
need to come up with a way of filtering out the particles in
smoke machine smoke. I don't really know anything about smoke,
but I believe the average particle size is 1-2 microns. I have
been told that the compound used to make the smoke will leave
behind an oily residue, which will quickly ruin a paper type
filter. Has anyone had any experience of this? Any advice would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom.
