- Better be prepared to spend your life's savings plus cash in the college fund! Expensive!! Can't skimp at all! Dress alone is enough to break the bank. We spent $2000 on our first state pageant and that was after winning partial fees off and a preowned dress that sold for cheap! Good luck! It's great fun for you and your dd if you have the dough.   - YES! they are worth it. Delaney's makeup is flawless, even on babies, and Sandi's hair is recognizable by anyone who has been in pageants a little while. They are the best. They do charge 250.00 at most pageants, CM Nationals is a 3 day event so it is usually 300.00. And YES that covers ALL events and crowning also. Give them a try you cannot go worng.   - Well for one thing, Sandi usually does NATURAL hair for CROWNING, as do most all h/m unless you ask otherwise. And then its your JOB to make sure the cascade is in good shape when you bring it back to her. If it looked awful you should have said something THEN to her and she would have fixed it, she would have fixed it if you had said ANYTHING at ANYTIME to her about it actually. I think it has mostly to do with the overly processed hair color. IMO if she went to a more natural color and got better h/m shed do better at bigger pageants. Ok ladies I need your honest opinion. For state on a baby(16) months is it really a have to for professional hair and makeup in order to win? I'm just worried about it because she is cutting jaw teeth and slobbering a lot and I don't want to pay a couple hundred dollars and her drool it off. Plus they don't do much as far as makeup anyways. And she doesn't have a whole lot of hair she has hair just not a ton so she will have a wiglet and I know how to put a wiglet on myself LOL. So in your opinion is it needed to win??

AGG VIDEO...we got ours today and after watching it I have a serious issue. There is a girl named Keke in the 2 yr old group that had on a white and gold dress...she is great...don't get me wrong. BUT there is NO WAY that that child is 2. She is a full 6 inches taller than all the other girls in line up. And she has the ability to carry out full routines that is impossible for a 2 yr old to do. I have a degree in child devepment and 2 yr olds can not do this stuff. I think judges and directors should ask themselves...when a child seems out of place in an age group...could the age be wrong? I'd say she's at least 3.5. I -- No name, 12/18/09 1:14am

- I have to disagree. There is a little girl, Azzoria Higgins I believe. She has been doing routines since a very young age, beautiful and talented little girl IMO. - My daughter has a friend that is younger than her by a few months and is the tallest in the class being at least 2 foot taller than most kids. You would think she was 8.5 and not just turning 7! So you can't base it on that! (NT) -- om, 12/18/09 11:45am
- I do not think that it was just not the height that was mentioned. I also saw the video and the little girl who is GREAT looks like and acts like a 4 year old. She is really good but I agree with the poster. I am a nurse practitioner and I see children and 2 year olds do not carry themselves or have the stance, the concentration of ability and balance to do what this little girl did. Look at line up. - I have a grandson that looks is very tall for his age. His sister is 9 years old and she is tall for her age and he is taller than she is. My grandaughter is a foot taller than that everyone in her class and my 6 year old grandson is about 4 inches taller than she is. I really feel sorry for him becuase everyone thinks is is 8 or 9 and he just turned 6 two months ago. He is in kindergarten and looks very much out of place for his age. I know a lot of 2 and 3 year olds that are way advanced for their age. Especially the girls. If she is close to 3 she should be able to do a routine by herself. I saw one little girl that was barely 2 years do a complete routine to Flash Dance. She was amazing at 2 years old. I wouldn't make claims like that unless you were absolutely positive that the mom lied about her age. It isn't becoming of any mother to do that to a child or another mom.       - As I stated before I do not have a child in that group...I just don't like it when ages are misrepresented. And it is not ridiculous to question if someone is breaking the rules of a pageant...we all should be doing the same. As stated before, the child did great and was awesome and deserves her win if she wins it fair by being in the correct age group which I believe she wasn't. But I'm kinda over this whole discussion now...everyone has stated their piece and hopefully people will stop trying to pass off their dd's for younger than they really are if we all become more vigilant to following the rules. I want to thank everyone for their prayers. Mom passed at 1145 this morning and she died in her sleep. our prayers were answered because although she had to leave us she did so with very little suffering. Wanted to ask your opinions on red dresses. I have found a very pretty red & white dress at a great price for a semi glitz pageant. My dd will be 5 soon. Is a red and white dress too old looking for a semi glitz pageant? She has the hair and skin color that looks better with brighter colors. I have tried her in pastel pink and her skin looks sallow and once tried her in a purple velvet with multi-colored purple skirt and white pretty, she looked pale. I then tried an electric blue and it just made all the difference & she placed better. I've just tried a few different colors over the last three years, but never red/white combo and just wanted to know what other moms think about that color for a 5 year old for semi glitz. Today as I was having lunch with my grandchildren and a pleasant message was received. I ask my GC how much fun they had handing out gift baskets to the needy and their answer was:::Oh it was great nan, those folks needed that. After all the baskets were given out the church ladies gave one to Dad and us, but dad took ours and gave it to a family who didn't have much at all. We have enough.I was so proud to know I had raised a wonderful son like that. I am sure his children will be the same way. May everyones Christmas be fun andremember the reason for this Christmas.

2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant-Frankfort, KY -- No name, 12/19/09 5:29pm
The clock is ticking�Now is the time to enter the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant. Enter by Thursday December 31 to take advantage of the early bird rate. Enter age division and all specialty awards for $100.
The early bird rate for the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant will expire on Thursday, December 31. The Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant will be held at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort, KY, April 17-18, 2010.
The pageant is open to contestants from all over the country ages three months to 27 years. Boys may compete up to 8 years of age. All contestants will receive a trophy and will be individually recognized onstage for their participation in the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant. Contestants will compete in Interview (3 and up), Casual Wear, and Formal Wear.
A winner and four runners up will be chosen in each age division plus seven specialty awards including�Director�s Award, Best Personality. Best Bio, Best Interview, Most Pre-paid Ticket Sales, Pageant Awareness Award, Rising Star Award.
Compete in Optionals!
Western Wear, Derby Wear and 1980�s Wear just to name a few. This is a great way to get some extra stage practice. Optionals do not count toward an individual�s overall score.

Plus! Three Supreme winners that win Cash! Huge crowns! Trophies! Banners! Jewelry!
Overall Ad Sales Queen is awarded to the contestant that places the most ads and receives a free registration at next year�s pageant!

If you are new to pageants we do offer a pageant work shop onsite at the hotel along with a rehearsal and parent/child orientation to get you better acquainted with the system.

Entering is easy!
Simply fill out the attached application. Mail in the $25.00 application fee to the pageant office listed below. The office must have the application fee by close of business on Thursday, December 31 in order for you to qualify for the early bird rate. Once the application fee is received, you will receive the official Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant packet complete with sample judges questions, breakdown of how categories are judged, and a copy of last year�s official Crowned Prince & Princess Charm souvenir program.

Toni Overby will be shooting in Nashville, TN on Jan 28-29. She will be doing, glitz, natural, ports, series, etc. She has also decided to take payments on the deposits. You can pay a little bit each week, until your deposit is paid, and then pay the balance the day you shoot. - OPP is good sometimes and not sometimes. We didn't get good pictures from them and spent a ton of money. She charged for ever little thing and then was offended when I asked for something to be changed. She would get mad and say she makes the decisions. Please pray for my mother. She was diagnosed Fri with cancer and last night we were told it is in her right lung. She has already stopped eating and her blood sugars keep bottoming out.the Dr thinks she is already too weak for tx. I have been on here while she sleeps and noticed the requests. So please pray for her that she be healed and if that is not his will than that she not suffer.and for my children it will be hard for them we lost my dad not very long ago. Thanks

- I am so sorry to hear about your mother. But, keep positive! Prayer can really change things. It's terrible to get that kind of news anytime but at Christmas it's even harder. I know when my mom had colon cancer she had been suffering for many years and we just knew that the last Christmas would be the last we had with her.
