Subject: Value of Porcelin Cabbage Patch

Please answer this CP question -- Phil Barone, 13:43:37 05/13/03 Tue
A friend of mine is in desperate need of cash and she asked me to sell her Cabbage Patch doll for her.

It's porcelain, and in the original box never used. On the box it says "Porcelain Collection", "Limited Edition", "16" Collector Doll". The box is a light aqua color. Does anybody know it's value so I can put it up on Ebay or if it's even worth auctioning off? Thank you, Phil

Hi Phil,
I bought this doll for my daughter in December of 1985. It was sold by J.C. Penney's for $450. 1985 was the year of the black market Cabbage Patch doll collection. They had become so popular that buying one at a store was impossible. The dolls are numbered and a limited number were sold. I cannot remember the exact quantity but it was a low number. If you find out the value of the doll could you let me know.
Thanks, Sheri
