At my fathers side of the family, it goes back to around 1600 and ended up in Belgium. But ... VAN KEULEN means actually "from Cologne". I'm busy with the side of my mother. Her fathers side of the family are from Scotland (Christie and Stewart)and her mothers side is to be found in Co. Durham but my great grandparents have commen names: Jackson and Walton. I found about a 100 with the name William Jackson who all lived around 1900 and it's about the same with Mary (Jane) Walton. Need to find new links as I've to little info to work with.
