I like a combination of all three.

Until a couple of years ago we rarely went to either the theatre or the cinema. The theatre was only once every few years, and the cinema was maybe once or twice a year. However, we went to see "Phantom of the Opera" at the theatre in Edinburgh and enjoyed the experience so much we booked to see something else, and then something else! Mostly we go to see musicals. In the past year we've seen "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers", "Sunset Boulevard", "Chicago", "Godspell", "Singin' in the Rain", "Fame", "Miss Saigon" and "Joseph", plus a ballet and an Abba tribute concert. (Our tastes are very varied!) We've already booked for three more musicals ("Calamity Jane", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Cats"), plus another ballet.

Our cinema going increased when a new Odeon opened in Dunfermline. We go every few weeks on average.

During the week though I much prefer to stay at home and watch a DVD. I get tired quite early so I'd probably fall asleep in the the theatre/cinema! (Paul's Mum fell asleep when we took her to see "Sunset Boulevard", and that was in the afternoon!)
